The buyer portal

User guide · Article 6 of 10

A wholesale storefront for your own approved buyers, under your own name, selling from the stock you already hold.

Switching it on

Settings, Integrations, B2B Portal. The hub is where everything about the portal lives: whether it is on, its address (your workspace slug under the portal domain), the branding buyers see, who is approved, the payment and shipping methods offered, and what is listed.

Buyers

A buyer applies from the portal's public page. You approve or decline them in the hub, and an approved buyer signs in with their own account, separate from your staff sign-in. Each buyer is a customer record on your side, so their orders and history are under Customers like any other.

What buyers see

The portal shows the units and bulk products you have chosen to list, with the price and the grade, and lets a buyer build an order and check out. Listings can be single units or lots (a batch sold together at one price). Prices come from the sell price on the pricing board, or from an offer.

Offers

A buyer can make an offer on a listing if you allow it. Offers arrive in the hub; accepting one writes the sales order at the offered price and commits the stock, so it cannot be sold twice while the buyer pays.

Orders, payment and shipping

A checkout creates a sales order on the Portal channel, with the payment method and shipping method the buyer chose from the ones you offer. From there it is an ordinary order: confirm it when paid, pick, ship through your own shipping account, and the tracking number is shown to the buyer.

Compliance documents

A buyer can upload a resale certificate or tax form from their account, and you can require one before approval. The documents are filed on the customer record.

What the portal does not do yet

Buyer-initiated returns are not built; returns for portal orders are raised by your staff in the RMA module. See the beta statement.
